In his welcoming speech, Consul General of Uzbekistan Aslam Akbarov, emphasized that the festival symbolizes not only the hard work and craftsmanship of the Uzbek people but also showcases qualities such as warmth, hospitality and humanity.
Special emphasis was placed on the fact that among all Russian cities, “Kovun Sayli” is held exclusively in Krasnoyarsk, which serves as another testament to the solidarity and unity of compatriots currently living outside their homeland.
Representatives of Krasnoyarsk's government and public circles who spoke next emphasized the uniqueness of Uzbekistan's culture and art. They assured that they would provide the Uzbek diaspora in the Krasnoyarsk Krai with all possible support in preserving their distinctive culture, history, traditions and customs.
A special flair was added to the celebration by the performance of the “Fantaziya” Dance Theater from Fergana, which showcased the full beauty and uniqueness of Uzbek dance, as well as by our performers of national songs and melodies and virtuosos of traditional musical instruments - the doira and tanbur - Ulugbek Khoshimov and Nizomzhon Vakhobov.
