TASHKENT, June 14. /Dunyo IA/. The Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov participated yesterday in the cultural event “Uzbekistan–Egypt: Dialogue of Civilizations and Heritage” held at the Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

“Participated in the cultural event titled “Uzbekistan–Egypt: A Dialogue of Civilizations and Heritage” held at the Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo”, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan wrote on his telegram-channel. “As part of the event, a presentation of the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan was held. Today, the Center is emerging as an important international platform that promotes dialogue among peoples and civilizations.

Uzbekistan and Egypt are connected by a rich spiritual heritage, longstanding scholarly traditions, and shared civilizational values developed over centuries. The legacy of our great scholars, the culture of manuscripts, and the immense contribution to the development of Islamic scholarship constitute a solid foundation for the historical closeness between our nations.

During the event, we focused on issues related to the preservation of cultural heritage, support for academic research, the study and digitization of manuscripts, as well as the promotion of the values of enlightenment and tolerance.

Taking this opportunity, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to H.E. Sherif Fathy, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities of the Arab Republic of Egypt, the leadership of Al-Azhar, the Egyptian Dar al-Ifta, members of Parliament, representatives of academic and cultural circles, and all partner organizations for their valuable support and active participation in organizing this cultural event at a high level”.
