ТАSHKENT, September 18. /Dunyo IA/.  Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov attended a “roundtable” meeting at the Japan Business Federation (“Keidanren”), reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

“Held a roundtable with H.E. Takeshi Hashimoto, Chairman of the Japan Business Federation (“Keidanren”) and executives and representatives of leading Japanese companies, - the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan wrote in his telegram-channel. – “Roundtable” was attended by representatives of Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Sojitz, All Nippon Airways, Shimizu, JETRO, Sumitomo, JBIC, Toyo Engineering, Toyota Tsusho, Marubeni, Mitsui, Mitsubishi and other major Japanese companies.

During the meeting, we discussed further expanding Uzbekistan–Japan economic cooperation, supporting the activities of Japanese companies in our country, and implementing new investment projects.

We paid particular attention to new opportunities in energy, transport and logistics, infrastructure, agriculture, textiles, digitalisation and human resource development.

Today’s open and practical dialogue marked an important step towards enriching our cooperation with Japanese business through concrete projects and new initiatives”.
