Two animated films by Uzbek filmmakers receive special award at International Film Festival in India

NEW DELHI, April 16. /Dunyo IA/. Two animated films produced by Uzbek filmmakers – "Journey Along the Great Silk Road" and "Tomyris" – were showcased at the Noida International Film Festival in India, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The films were created at the "Astir Animation" studio under the direction of Abdulatif Haydarov, utilizing advanced 3D animation technologies. Both productions have garnered significant interest within Uzbekistan.
"Journey Along the Great Silk Road" explores the rich history of the ancient city of Khiva, while "Tomyris" tells the story of the legendary warrior queen Tomyris.
The films were met with high praise from the festival’s international jury and animation enthusiasts alike. As a result, both works were honored with the festival’s Award of Distinction.
It is worth noting that another animated film by "Astir Animation", "The Stingy Grocer", was also successfully presented at the Kolkata International Children’s Film Festival last year.
