ABU DHABI, September 7. /Dunyo IA/.  Ambassador of Uzbekistan Umid Shadiev presented his credentials to the President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Solemn ceremony took place at the “Qasr Al Watan” official palace residence, where the head of state received credentials from newly appointed foreign ambassadors, including the representative of Uzbekistan.

During the conversation, President of the UAE highly praised the state of bilateral relations and wished the Ambassador success in his work to further strengthen multifaceted cooperation, particularly in the trade, economic, investment and tourism spheres.

Emirati side expressed readiness to create the necessary conditions for the effective fulfillment of the diplomatic mission of Umid Shodiev.

In turn, Ambassador conveyed sincere greetings and high regard from the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to the President of the UAE. He noted that thanks to the political will of the leaders of the two countries, high-level relations have entered a qualitatively new stage, and declared his readiness to make every effort to further expand the strategic partnership.

As a reminder, Umid Shodiev succeeded Abdulaziz Akkulov, who headed our country's embassy in the UAE in 2022–2025 and was appointed Chairman of the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan in December 2025.
