NEW DELHI, September 9. /Dunyo IA/.   Website of the Indian think tank “NatStrat” published an article by Central Asia expert Raj Kumar Sharma, dedicated to the outcomes of the visit of Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi to Uzbekistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Publication notes that elevating relations to the level of a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership signals a transition from traditional historical and cultural closeness to pragmatic interdependence. This harmonizes the Indian vision of “Viksit Bharat 2047” with the development program of New Uzbekistan promoted by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The author focuses attention on key areas of cooperation, including long-term uranium supplies, critical minerals, digitization, defence and ecology, notably India's allocation of $1 million for the restoration of the Aral Sea region. The publication also highlights plans to increase bilateral trade to $5 billion by 2030 and to develop direct interregional ties.

In conclusion, it is emphasized that Uzbekistan is becoming a key element of India's broader strategy to expand economic and strategic engagement across Eurasia.
