TASHKENT, April 11 /Dunyo IA/. On April 10, Ambassador of Japan to Uzbekistan Takashi Hatori awarded the "Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Rays" to Farrukh Usmanov, Director of the Ikuo Hirayama International Caravanserai of Culture, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the Embassy, the award was presented in recognition of Farrukh Usmanov’s significant contribution to promoting Japanese culture in Uzbekistan and fostering deeper mutual understanding between the two countries over many years.

Since 2006, Farrukh Usmanov has served as the director of the Ikuo Hirayama International Caravanserai of Culture, which was established in 2002 by the former rector of the Tokyo University of the Arts, Ikuo Hirayama. Throughout his tenure, Farrukh Usmanov has played a key role in enhancing mutual understanding between the two nations by organizing events that introduce the people of Uzbekistan to Japanese art and culture, as well as facilitating exchange programs in the field of archaeological research.
