TASHKENT, 10 July, /Dunyo IA/. On July 6, the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres met with the participants of the Preventive Diplomacy Academy organized by the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA), reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Otabek Turgunboev, a 2nd-year student of the faculty of International Law, a member of the UNRCCA Preventive Diplomacy Academy, took part in the event.

He gave a speech at the meeting on the topic "Using transboundary waters in Central Asia: international legal cooperation and future plans".

According to the results of the meeting, Otabek Turgunboev was awarded the status of "Leader of the Preventive Diplomacy Academy from Uzbekistan". He also became the "Ambassador of Preventive Diplomacy" in Uzbekistan.

It is worth recalling that the activities of the UNRCCA Preventive Diplomacy Academy are carried out in accordance with the UN Youth Strategy until 2030 and UN Security Council Resolution 2250 (2015) on youth, peace and security.
