DELHI, May 23. /Dunyo IA/. The congress center “Hindistan International” in the Indian city of Kolkata hosted the presentation of the book “Moon Sickle Immersed in the Heart” (“Ko’ngilga cho’kkan hilol”) by the famous Uzbek poetess Khosiyat Rustam in the Bengali language, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The event was attended by literary scholars, translators, writers, poets, readers and artists of West Bengal.

Indian writer Saikat Rakshit, actor and essayist Anirban Bhattacharya, and other representatives of the Indian intelligentsia noted the deep revelation of human psychology in Khosiyat Rustam's poetry, the high resonance of universal ideas, and the original artistic interpretation of the philosophy of life.

The close alignment of the poetess's verses with the spiritual world of Bengali readers was specially emphasized.

During the presentation ceremony, the author shared her reflections on the work of Rabindranath Tagore and the enduring power of literature to transcend borders.

The presentation of the book “Moon Sickle Immersed in the Heart” contributes to the further strengthening of Uzbek-Indian literary ties and the popularization of contemporary Uzbek poetry on the international stage.

The publication became the author's twenty-ninth work released abroad. Previously, Khosiyat Rustam's works were published in England, the USA, Russia, Vietnam, Greece, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, Romania, Ukraine, Serbia, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and other countries.
