KUALA LUMPUR, May 25. /Dunyo IA/. Ambassador of Uzbekistan Karomiddin Gadoev met with Rizal bin Naini, Chief Executive Officer of the Malaysian state agency “SME Corporation Malaysia” (SME Corp.), reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the meeting, the sides discussed prospects for expanding cooperation and exchanging experience in the field of small and medium-sized entrepreneurship between the relevant agencies of Uzbekistan and SME Corp.

Rizal Naini supported the initiative of the Uzbek side to study in detail Malaysia's advanced experience in this field and the possibilities of its implementation in Uzbekistan. In particular, the Malaysian side expressed readiness to share its experience in providing services to small and medium-sized businesses, utilizing the SCORE tool (SME Competitiveness Rating for Enhancement system), its methodology, and practical implementation options, as well as institutional mechanisms for financing the sector.

During the negotiations, the sides agreed to hold an online meeting in the coming days to discuss specific areas of interaction. The Malaysian agency also expressed readiness to assist in organizing a visit to Malaysia for a delegation of Uzbek specialists in this field.

“SME Corporation Malaysia” was established in 1996 under the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Cooperatives Development of Malaysia (MECD). Currently, it is the country's key organization responsible for formulating a unified policy for micro, small, and medium entrepreneurship, promoting strategic initiatives and managing the financial support system for this sector.
