Another round of political consultations held between Uzbekistan and Iran in Tehran

TASHKENT, August 17. /Dunyo IA/. The next round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and Iran was held in Tehran today, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
According to the MFA, delegation of Uzbekistan was headed by First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhromjon Aloyev, while the delegation of Iran was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs Majid Takht-Ravanchi.
During the consultations, the sides discussed the current state and prospects for further development of Uzbek-Iranian relations, as well as ways to strengthen political dialogue and expand practical cooperation between the two countries.
Particular attention was paid to trade, economic and investment cooperation, the development of transport and transit connectivity, the expansion of cultural and humanitarian exchanges, as well as cooperation within international and regional organizations.
The sides also held a substantive exchange of views on pressing regional and international issues of mutual interest.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the sides reaffirmed their interest in further strengthening bilateral cooperation and maintaining regular political dialogue between the foreign ministries of the two countries.
