ISLAMABAD, September 21. /IA “Dunyo”/. The founder of the Novugen Pharma company, Khalid Mahmud (Pakistan), commented for "Dunyo" information agency on the first results of the participation of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev in the first summit of leaders of Central Asian countries and the United States in the "C5+1" format:

- The economic part of the speech of the leader of Uzbekistan was traditionally and correctly devoted to the expansion of mutual trade and transport interaction between the countries of the region.

An accurate assessment of Central Asia is given as a center of economic development, a transport and communication bridge connecting East and West, North and South.

Pakistan and other countries in South and West Asia are geographically close to the region, have common historical roots and have been connected to Uzbekistan through transport corridors for centuries. That is why the breakthrough initiative of the leader of Uzbekistan on interregional connectivity, launched in June 2021, found such broad support from Pakistan and other countries of South Asia.

In the context of current armed conflicts and negative contradictions that have arisen in the Eurasian space in 2022, the call of the President of Uzbekistan to expand regional cooperation is without a doubt a strategy of the 21st century.

That is why the initiatives of the respected President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, announced at the 78th session of the UN General Assembly and the first summit of the leaders of Central Asia and the United States, aimed at developing transport corridors in the region, are of great importance for the expansion and promotion of trade chains, goods and services between neighboring countries in the regions of Central, South and West Asia.

Our company “Novugen Pharma”, established in the Syrdarya region, has been successfully operating in the pharmaceutical market of Uzbekistan for several years and is a striking example of industrial cooperation. The bulk of products produced in Uzbekistan are exported to the CIS countries and Afghanistan. The next stage will be the export of our products from Uzbekistan to the Gulf and African countries.

The meeting of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev with the Director General of the World Trade Organization Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly and discussion of the issues of Uzbekistan’s early accession to the WTO became very important news for us. Of course, Uzbekistan’s membership in the WTO will expand the capabilities of our company and other manufacturing firms in Uzbekistan to increase the range of products produced and increase the export potential of the republic.
