Kazakhstan’s grain exports to Uzbekistan rise nearly 50% over past five months

ASTANA, February 4. /Dunyo IA/. Kazakhstan continues to maintain its status as one of Central Asia’s key grain suppliers, steadily increasing exports and expanding the geographic reach of its deliveries, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
According to “АПК Новости”, from September 2025 to 31 January 2026, Kazakhstan exported 5.8 million tonnes of grain, an increase of 1 million tonnes compared to the same period of the previous marketing year.
The majority of the export growth was directed to markets in Central and South Asia. In particular, grain shipments to Uzbekistan rose by 49% to 2.7 million tonnes, to Kyrgyzstan increased 1.7 times to 163,000 tonnes and to Afghanistan nearly doubled, reaching 416,000 tonnes.
