JIAXING, May 31. /Dunyo IA/. Diplomats from the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Shanghai held negotiations in Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province, with the management of Chinese companies Zicheng United Construction Group Co., Ltd. and Jiaxing Houbang Import and Export Co., Ltd., reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the meetings, the Chinese partners were presented with Uzbekistan’s favourable investment climate, including the extensive package of incentives available to foreign investors, as well as the country’s infrastructure advantages.

Following the discussions, and taking into account the rapid urbanization processes underway in Uzbekistan, Jiang Guohua, Head of the major Chinese engineering and construction group Zicheng United, expressed interest in establishing a branch office in the country and agreed to visit Uzbekistan in June–July of this year.

For his part, Xu Wei, Head of Jiaxing Houbang, a company specializing in international trade of textiles and ready-made garments, highlighted the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan’s light industry sector and stated the company’s readiness to consider the construction of a large-scale textile manufacturing facility in the country.

The parties also reached an agreement to organize Xu Wei’s practical visit to Uzbekistan later this year to further explore investment opportunities and potential cooperation projects.
