Malaysian company expresses interest in establishing halal food production and small hydroelectric plants in Uzbekistan

KUALA LUMPUR, March 5. /Dunyo IA/. The Ambassador of Uzbekistan, Karomiddin Gadoyev met with a delegation led by the CEO of the Malaysian company "CB Synergy", Shahzeli bin Shahzulkarib, to discuss the implementation of promising investment projects in Uzbekistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the meeting, the Malaysian side expressed interest in establishing halal food production in Uzbekistan through the processing of local meat, as well as in implementing projects for the construction of small hydroelectric power stations.
It was emphasized that Uzbekistan could become a center for halal products in Central Asia in the future, and that halal production in the country holds significant potential.
Specifically, at the initiative of the Malaysian company, an agreement is being developed to create a consortium with the state-owned company "Perak Halal Corporation Sdn Bhd" and private companies such as "Ramly Food Processing Sdn Bhd" and "CP Food Malaysia" to implement a project on meat processing in Uzbekistan.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of "CB Synergy", Ng Su Bun, expressed readiness to proceed with the project for building small hydroelectric power plants in Uzbekistan, utilizing water runoff from existing rivers and canals in cooperation with local partners.
At the end of the meeting, the company’s leadership announced plans to visit Uzbekistan in the coming months to explore the feasibility of implementing the identified projects.
