National pavilion of Uzbekistan opens in Shanghai

SHANGHAI, April 28. /Dunyo IA/. On April 25, the opening ceremony of Uzbekistan’s national pavilion took place in Shanghai, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The event was attended by representatives of the Trade Commission of the Pudong New Area of Shanghai, the Pudong Special Economic Zone, the Shanghai Waigaoqiao Group, the Pudong Foreign Affairs Bureau, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the leadership of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and 150 major local companies.

Participants were presented with information about Uzbekistan’s socio-economic development, its investment and tourism potential, as well as joint projects offered for implementation.

Alongside this, a cultural program was introduced, allowing participants to experience Uzbekistan’s traditional music and dance arts.

During the event, Chen Bin, a representative of the Shanghai Waigaoqiao Group, noted that the Shanghai-based company Silk Road E-commerce has established business relations with over 30 countries. He highlighted that Uzbek-Chinese relations have reached a high level and emphasized that Uzbekistan is considered one of the most attractive places for investment in the world.

The national navilion of Uzbekistan in Shanghai is designed as a platform for active dialogue between the two countries. He expressed confidence that this would become another bridge of friendship between Uzbekistan and China and contribute to realizing the vast potential of bilateral relations.

During the event, Chinese entrepreneurs successfully operating in Uzbekistan shared insights into the opportunities and conditions created for foreign investors in the country, providing information on customs, tax, and transport-logistics incentives offered by the government.

The event also featured a tea ceremony dedicated to the opening of Uzbekistan's pavilion, with a cultural event titled "Tea Traditions of the Silk Road – Uzbekistan-China in One Cup". Participants were introduced to Uzbekistan's rich cultural, historical, traditional, and tourism potential.
