Painting and installation exhibition to be held in Tashkent on the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Romania

TASHKENT, November 20. /Dunyo IA/. On November 24, 2025, at 17:00, the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan will host the opening of a painting and installation exhibition dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Romania and Uzbekistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Romania was among the first countries to recognize Uzbekistan’s independence, and diplomatic relations were officially established on October 6, 1995. On the occasion of this anniversary, congratulatory letters were exchanged between the Minister of Foreign Affairs Romania Oana Țoiu and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov.
Additionally, Ambassador of Romania to Uzbekistan, Daniel Cristian Ciobanu, delivered a lecture at the Tashkent State University of Economics.
Uzbek-Romanian relations are currently developing dynamically across all sectors. Romanian companies’ interest in Uzbekistan’s economic potential is growing, and the volume of bilateral trade continues to increase. Romania also maintains an active cultural presence in Uzbekistan.
The exhibition will feature 33 paintings and 4 installations created by students of the Institute of Fine Arts and Design named Kamoliddin Behzod. The works reflect the friendship and cultural rapprochement between the two countries.
The exhibition will remain open from November 24 until November 31, 2025, at the Gallery of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan (35 Sadyk Azimov Street).
