ROME, May 6. /Dunyo IA/. The leading Italian newspaper “Il Sole 24 Ore” highlighted the growing role of Uzbekistan as a center of attraction for tourists and pilgrims, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The publication states that along with the restoration of architectural monuments, including Registan Square in Samarkand, the country is actively reviving its religious heritage and developing modern infrastructure.
It is noted that the Center of Islamic Civilization has been opened in Tashkent - a large-scale cultural and scientific complex that brings together a museum, a library, and research facilities. The project was initiated in 2018 and is designed to bridge historical heritage with modern technology and a scientific approach.
The center showcases thousands of exhibits, including rare manuscripts and the 7th-century Quran of Usman. The facility is equipped according to international museum standards, utilizing digital technologies, multimedia solutions, and accessibility systems for visitors.
The center’s infrastructure meets high international standards: thousands of exhibits have been digitized and are accompanied by multimedia content in several languages. Visitors are provided with modern technological solutions, including robotic guides and navigation systems for the visually impaired.
