“Daily News Hungary”: Uzbekistan and ADB move toward expanded strategic partnership

BUDAPEST, May 6. /Dunyo IA/. The popular Hungarian online publication “Daily News Hungary” has published an article on cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Asian Development Bank (ADB), highlighting a transition from infrastructure financing to an expanded strategic partnership, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
It is noted that hosting the ADB Annual Meeting in Uzbekistan, with the participation of representatives from 69 countries and international organizations, reflects the country's growing prestige and the strengthening of its cooperation with the ADB.
The cooperation portfolio between Uzbekistan and the ADB includes 174 projects worth USD 27.5 billion. In 2024, a new partnership strategy for 2024-2028 was approved, alongside a memorandum for the implementation of 28 projects totalling USD 4.2 billion.
According to expert assessments, hosting the meeting in Samarkand strengthens Uzbekistan’s position as a regional investment hub and creates favourable conditions for signing new agreements.
It is emphasized that the cooperation between Uzbekistan and the ADB has moved to the level of a strategic partnership, covering reforms, investment and sustainable economic development.
