“London Post”: Navruz – A symbol of interethnic unity, cultural harmony and respect for traditions

LONDON, May 6. /Dunyo IA/. The British news portal “London Post” has published an article titled “Uzbekistan: The Mosaic of Cultures and the Melody of Youth”, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

In the article, the author shares impressions of a festival held at the University of Journalism and Mass Communications of Uzbekistan as part of the Navruz celebrations. According to the author, the event became a large-scale cultural celebration, bringing together representatives of more than 20 ethnicities.

Special attention is given to the festival's atmosphere, national pavilions, traditions, and student performances, as well as the showcase of the cultural heritage of various peoples living in Uzbekistan. It is noted that the participants presented folk crafts, traditional dishes, theatrical performances and musical acts.

The article emphasizes that students, particularly young women in national costumes, were the key symbols of the event, embodying the country's cultural wealth and youth.

The piece also quotes a European ambassador who remarked that the event felt more like a 'family gathering' than a formal diplomatic function.

“The festival has become a symbol of interethnic unity, cultural harmony and respect for traditions, as well as an important annual university tradition that strengthens social ties and values”, summarizes the “London Post”.
