MOSCOW, August 22. /Dunyo IA/. Russian news agency “Interfax” published a report entitled “Uzbekistan to introduce three-year moratorium on inspections of small businesses”, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Report states that President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, during a meeting with entrepreneurs, announced the introduction of a three-year moratorium on inspections of small businesses until 2029. The exception will be cases involving threats to human health or the interests of other entrepreneurs.
Publication notes that the Head of State emphasized the importance of supporting businesses through training rather than pressure. It is reported that more than half of the 5,000 entrepreneurs surveyed had faced tax inspections two or three times a year, while 21 percent had undergone such inspections more than four times.
In addition, a voluntary preventive audit is being introduced for medium and large businesses. If the identified violations are rectified, no fines will be imposed, while repeat inspections will require the authorization of the Business Ombudsman.
