RIYADH, April 16. /Dunyo IA/. Uzbekistan is preparing to host the International “Boysun Spring” Festival, which will take place from May 1 to 10, 2026, in Boysun district of the Surkhandarya region, reports Dunyo IA correspondent, citing a publication by the Islamic Broadcasting Union.

The festival aims to promote intangible cultural heritage, traditional customs, and the rich folklore of the region. Its program will include folk performances, art exhibitions, sporting events, and master classes reflecting the cultural diversity of Boysun.

As part of the preparations, the khokim of Surkhandarya region Ulugbek Kosimov held a meeting with the head of the special working group responsible for organizing the festival. Particular attention was paid to ensuring high-quality preparations and actively engaging youth in the event.

The festival is expected to contribute to the development of the region’s tourism potential, promote Uzbekistan’s cultural heritage on the international stage, and create a platform for cultural exchange among nations and bearers of traditional arts.
