CAIRO, April 27. /Dunyo IA/. A series of presentations for the book “Spirituality: The Morning Star of New Uzbekistan” by Iraqi writer and journalist Ahmad Zubaidi took place in the capital of Egypt, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The events, organized by the Institute for Development Research of New Uzbekistan, the Center for Sustainable Development, and the diplomatic mission in Cairo, covered iconic venues across the city, including the “Nilometer” complex, the Egyptian Center for Arts and Culture and the educational center at Al-Azhar University.

Published by the Cairo-based “Al-Wiqaf” publishing house, the work is dedicated to analysing Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s state policy in the religious and educational sphere. The author examines the philosophy of reforms aimed at ensuring individual freedoms and interests, developing science and strengthening the atmosphere of interfaith harmony.

The meeting participants emphasized the prestige of Uzbekistan's state course within the Arab world. Egyptian experts highlighted the large-scale efforts to promote the humanistic essence of Islam, specifically noting the role of the International Islamic Academy, the Center for Islamic Civilization in Tashkent, and the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center in Samarkand. According to the participants, these institutions have become a bridge between centuries-old traditions and modern knowledge.

Using specific examples, the book shows how, within a secular society, religious values remain the foundation of culture, morality, and the people's way of life. The speakers expressed confidence that the publication will make a significant contribution to the dialogue of civilizations and will become a valuable resource for diplomats, researchers and journalists.

An important outcome of the Uzbek delegation's visit to Egypt was also the strengthening of expert cooperation between the non-governmental non-profit organization “Center for Sustainable Development” and Cairo-based research center “Hiwar”, marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding.
