• 73MADRID, June 24. /Dunyo IA/. Spanish media platform “Orta Lectura” published a series of articles focusing on the V Tashkent International Investment Forum and the comprehensive reforms underway in Uzbekistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Articles point out that Uzbekistan has been implementing comprehensive reforms in recent years to drive economic, scientific, and cultural development. This process elevates the country's global standing and boosts interest among foreign investors and partners.
Economic, scientific, and cultural matters were extensively debated during the sessions hosted as part of the V Tashkent International Investment Forum.
In the course of this high-profile forum, international financial institutions, leading consulting firms, and experts placed particular emphasis on expanding cooperation in critical minerals, ensuring supply chain resilience and driving investment inflows.
As highlighted, Uzbekistan considers critical minerals to be a vital driver of economic growth and the energy transition. The nation is refining its regulatory framework, scaling up geological exploration, and establishing favorable conditions for investors. Currently, over 100 investment projects have been developed, focusing on the exploitation of 25 types of strategically essential mineral resources.
In addition, the ongoing structural reforms in Uzbekistan extend beyond the economy to embrace science and culture. Concept of the Third Renaissance, envisioned by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, has emerged as a cornerstone of national development, designed to merge historical legacy with contemporary science, innovation, and education.
Center of Islamic Civilization, built in Tashkent, stands as a prime example of this vision. The facility functions not merely as a repository for historical relics and manuscripts, but as a vital hub for scientific research, education, and public outreach.
The Third Renaissance vision seeks to carry forward the scientific legacy of Uzbekistan’s illustrious ancestors - Muhammad al-Khwarizmi, Abu Ali ibn Sina (Avicenna), Abu Rayhan Beruni, Mirzo Ulugbek and Alisher Navoiy. Currently, the nation places a particular emphasis on advancing digital technologies, artificial intelligence, an innovation-driven economy, and a modern educational framework.
Consequently, Uzbekistan is embarking on a new era of development, seamlessly integrating economic modernization, investment inflows and scientific-enlightenment progress.
