Polish Experts: Uzbekistan is becoming an increasingly safe and unique tourist destination

WARSAW, January 29. /Dunyo IA/. A radio interview titled “A Musical Journey Around the World: Uzbekistan on the Silk Road”, dedicated to Uzbekistan’s tourism, cultural-historical, and infrastructural potential, was broadcast on Poland’s Radio Kielce, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The program, aired on Radio Kielce and published on its online platforms, featured Polish experts sharing their travel impressions and recognizing Uzbekistan as one of the centers of world civilization. While reflecting on the country’s rich 2,500-year history, the speakers emphasized that cities such as Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva are unique complexes that have preserved their authentic architecture and historical atmosphere.

The broadcast highly assessed Uzbekistan’s strategic position on the Great Silk Road and its role as a crossroads of European, Persian, Arab, and Asian cultures. The experts noted that the high level of safety and cleanliness in the country is among the most important factors for foreign tourists.

Special attention was also given to the visa-free regime for Polish citizens, modern air connections, and the well-developed tourism infrastructure, including high-speed rail services between Tashkent and Samarkand. The dynamic development of Uzbekistan’s economy, particularly achievements in silk and cotton production as well as winemaking, was also discussed.

During the interview, regional environmental challenges were addressed, notably the drying up of the Aral Sea and its consequences. While the city of Muynak was mentioned as a symbol of past mistakes, it was emphasized that new investment and infrastructure projects currently being implemented in the area demonstrate the country’s commitment to environmental sustainability.

At the same time, Polish historical heritage in Uzbekistan was highlighted. The formation of General Władysław Anders’ army during World War II, as well as the careful preservation by the state of Polish military cemeteries in cities such as Guzar, were described by experts as signs of deep respect and appreciation.

In conclusion, the experts highly praised the hospitality of the Uzbek people, religious tolerance, and the country’s strong traditions of national craftsmanship. This radio interview contributed to fostering a positive image of Uzbekistan among the Polish public, presenting the country as a safe, distinctive, and promising tourist destination.
