ТАSHKENT, September 4. /Dunyo IA/.   From September 8^th to 10^th, 17^th Central Asian International Textile Machinery Exhibition - CAITME 2026, will be held at the Uzexpocentre National Exhibition Company in Tashkent, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Exhibition is held under the slogan: “CAITME 2026: Technologies Shaping the Future of the Region's Textile Industry”.

The 17^th Central Asian International Textile Machinery Exhibition – CAITME 2026 will be held from September 8^th to 10^th, 2026, in all exhibition areas at Uzexpocentre NEC.

Over the years, CAITME has evolved into a unique project to Central Asia and the CIS, and has established itself as Uzbekistan's national brand in textile industry exhibitions.

Exhibition has for many years remained to be a major driver of innovation and progressive development in the region's textile and garment industries. CAITME provides a vital support to the region's textile and garment businesses as they upgrade production capacity, increase production efficiency and strengthen their competitiveness in the international markets. It enables domestic manufacturers to maintain direct contacts with suppliers of advanced technologies, keep abreast of the latest developments and new products, obtain technical advice on the operation of machinery and equipment, and access special promotions and offers “first-hand”.

Today, the significance of CAITME extends far beyond a single market: every year, the exhibition brings together many leading equipment and technology manufacturers from around the world, while industry professionals and representatives of textile companies come to Tashkent in search of modern solutions, new suppliers and business partners.

This is particularly relevant amid challenging transformations in the global textile industry. The competition for export markets is intensifying, supply chains are shifting, international tariff policy and transport and logistics routes are being reassessed, and international buyers are imposing new requirements for production transparency, sustainability and efficiency.

Despite the challenging conditions facing the industry, CAITME continues to strengthen its position as a leading textile machinery and technology exhibition in Central Asia. In 2026, the exhibition will bring together more than 250 companies and brands from 18 countries, reflecting the growing interest in Uzbekistan and the wider Central Asian market. The participants will come from Austria, Belgium, China, the Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, India, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Russia, Spain, Switzerland, Türkiye, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, the United States and Uzbekistan.

The top five overseas exhibiting countries are: China, Turkiye, Germany, Italy and India. A total share of international participants accounts for 83%.

Germany – one of the world's leading textile machinery nations – will once again participate this year with its National Pavilion. CAITME 2026 will once again occupy all exhibition areas of Uzexpocentre NEC and will be organised into the following main sections:

•       Garment manufacturing equipment (Pavilion 3)

•       Weaving and knitting equipment (Pavilion 4)

This arrangement makes it easy for industry professionals to find their way around, identify solutions of interest, use their time at the exhibition effectively and schedule the meetings they need in advance.

This year, CAITME will focus on the following new and in-demand industry trends:

Automation of production processes, from individual production areas to entire production lines, is becoming increasingly important as manufacturers face the growing pressure to address labour shortages, improve efficiency and reduce costs. The automation can help meeting these challenges by reducing labour costs, ensuring consistent yarn quality, minimising the risk of human error and increasing use of equipment. At CAITME 2026, renowned Swiss industry leader Rieter will present their innovative solutions for automating spinning mills, while Germany’s Texpa will showcase automatic and semi-automatic production lines for home textiles, among other technologies.

Enhancing sustainability through more efficient production methods, including efficient use of low-impact dyes, wastewater recycling in dyeing and finishing processes, and adoption of renewable energy sources. Türkiye-based Eliar will showcase their “intelligent” dye-dosing systems, advanced sensors and software designed to improve process efficiency and support development of smarter, more sustainable dyehouses.

Enhancing production efficiency and optimisation. For example, Biancalani (Italy) will present their fabric finishing solutions designed to optimise resource consumption through environmentally clean enzyme-based processes.

Versatility and multitasking. Ricoma Asia (Uzbekistan) will present an embroidery machine that not only embroiders but also attaches beads, pearls and crystals. A special device also enables it to create terry embroidery, chain stitch and tambour stitch – the famous Uzbek “popop kashta”.

The most prominent trend at recent textile machinery exhibitions, now rapidly gaining ground in Uzbekistan, is the “smart” recycling of textile waste at every stage, from the spinning mill to converting used clothing back into yarn, fabric and garments, thereby making textile production circular. A number of leading European companies offer solutions for circular production. For example, Truetzschler (Germany) – a leading developer and trendsetter in this field – will present their innovative solutions that help prevent unnecessary fibre waste, make profitable use of production waste from spinning preparation and achieve the highest possible quality when producing yarn from shredded fabrics and used textile products.

This year, CAITME will once again be held as part of the Global Textile Days. The program will also include a series of B2B meetings on the TextileExpo Uzbekistan Sourcing Hub platform for professional buyers of textile and garment products and manufacturers. On September 9^th in Atrium 2, buyers, importers, distributors, retail chains, fashion brand owners and e-commerce representatives will be able to hold dozens of pre-arranged meetings with manufacturers from Uzbekistan and other Central Asian countries.
