CAIRO, September 5. /Dunyo IA/. The “Al-Awsat” newspaper has published an article on the 12th Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), being held in Samarkand under the theme “On the Path to Restoring Human Rights, Justice and Human Dignity in Challenging Times,” reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The publication notes that around 300 delegates from 183 countries and 15 international organizations, as well as 50 permanent observers, are taking part in the international forum. The program features six thematic sessions focusing on protecting the rights of young people amid conflicts and digitalization, expanding their political and economic opportunities, promoting employment, and preventing violence against women and young people.

The newspaper reports that the agenda is built around interactive formats, training sessions and dialogue forums aimed at strengthening ties among young legislators from around the world. An important component of the program will be the 3rd Global Forum on Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation in Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, while the main outcome of the conference will be the adoption of a final document containing recommendations on strengthening the role of young people in implementing the global agenda.
