VLADIVOSTOK, September 5. /Dunyo IA/. Representatives of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan held working meetings with Uzbek citizens employed by “Triliton” and “Vladtorg,” as well as with the management of the companies, reports a Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the meetings, the working and living conditions of Uzbek citizens were reviewed, including the state of their workplaces, accommodation and communal catering facilities, compliance with labour conditions, and the timely payment of wages.

The compatriots were provided with information on the activities of the Consulate General aimed at protecting the rights and legitimate interests of Uzbek citizens residing in Russia.

Particular attention was paid to safety issues. The citizens were briefed on basic rules of conduct and precautionary measures to be taken in the event of emergencies. They were also encouraged to uphold the principles of interethnic harmony and religious tolerance, and to represent the national culture and traditions of Uzbekistan abroad with dignity.

During the meetings, the citizens were also informed about current socio-political developments in Uzbekistan, as well as the efforts being carried out under the leadership of the President of Uzbekistan to provide social, legal, material and cultural support to citizens working abroad and create conditions for safe labour migration.

The participants were also briefed on the provisions of recent regulatory and legal acts aimed at improving the labour migration system and protecting the rights of Uzbek citizens working outside the country.

During the working meeting with the management of “Triliton” and “Vladtorg,” representatives of the Consulate General received detailed information about the companies’ current staffing needs and available vacancies.

Following the talks, an agreement was reached to recruit Uzbek citizens for available positions in a number of in-demand specialties. This will expand opportunities for the organized and legal employment of Uzbek citizens in Russia.

The employers’ representatives were also provided with information on measures being taken by the Government of Uzbekistan to provide social, legal, material and cultural support to compatriots abroad, as well as existing mechanisms for the organized and lawful employment of Uzbek citizens outside the country.

To further develop cooperation in the field of labour migration, the companies’ representatives were presented with a draft cooperation agreement with the Migration Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan and private employment agencies, along with a list of required documents and their templates.
