Vladimir Kukharev: Minsk particularly values its warm and trusting relations with Tashkent

MINSK, September 5. /Dunyo IA/. Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee Vladimir Kukharev has conveyed sincere congratulations and best wishes to the people of Uzbekistan through Dunyo IA on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the country’s independence:

— Dear friends!

On behalf of the Minsk City Executive Committee and all residents of Minsk, please accept our sincere congratulations on the significant occasion of the 35th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

For our capital, Uzbekistan is not only a reliable partner, but also a trusted friend with whom we have shared ties over the years. Beyond diplomatic relations, our countries are united by genuine sympathy and mutual respect.

Minsk particularly values its warm and trusting relations with Tashkent. We are sister cities, which opens up broad opportunities for implementing joint projects and creating new prospects.

Our sister-city ties cover a wide range of areas. A key reference point for their development is the roadmap for cooperation between Minsk and Tashkent through 2028.

An important event that gave additional impetus to Belarusian-Uzbek relations was the Third Forum of Regions of Belarus and Uzbekistan, which was successfully held in Minsk in July this year.

Our focus is on economic cooperation, industrial and investment partnership, and the establishment of joint ventures. Cooperation in education and science is also of great importance to us, as is, of course, engagement with young people.

A good example of such cooperation was the participation of representatives of Tashkent in the Third Minsk Forum of Young Civil Servants. Young professionals had the opportunity to exchange experience, discuss modern approaches to public administration and establish professional contacts.

Looking ahead, we aim to expand Minsk’s business and sister-city ties with other cities of Uzbekistan, promote active exchanges of municipal experience, and implement projects aimed at improving people’s quality of life.

On these festive days, we sincerely wish the people of Uzbekistan good health, happiness, peace and continued prosperity.

Happy Independence Day!
