“Avrupa Times”: OTS is becoming one of the main drivers of regional integration

LONDON, October 8. /Dunyo IA/. An article dedicated to the development of transport and logistics cooperation within the Organization of Turkic States has been published on the website of the popular British news portal “Avrupa Times”, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Publication highlights the strategic location of the OTS countries between Europe and Asia and their growing role in establishing alternative transport routes. In 2025, the combined economic potential of the organization's member states exceeded $2.4 trillion, while Uzbekistan’s trade turnover with OTS countries reached $11 billion.
Particular attention is paid to the development of the Middle Corridor and its connection with the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway. The publication also highlights the importance of the digitalization of transportation, including the introduction of the e-Permit, e-CMR and eTIR systems, aimed at reducing cargo processing times and improving transit efficiency.
Author emphasizes the importance of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan and Uzbekistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan railway projects, as well as the further development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route.
Publication also highlights Uzbekistan’s active role within the OTS. At the informal summit in Turkistan, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev put forward initiatives to establish a “Digital Turkic Corridor” and develop cooperation in the field of cybersecurity.
