SEOUL, August 12. /Dunyo IA/. South Korea’s “Diplomacy Journal” magazine has published an article on a new stage of transport and logistics cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United States, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Publication notes expanding cooperation in aviation, infrastructure, digital technologies, finance, and international transport corridors. Following negotiations with American companies in September 2025, a portfolio of projects worth more than $100 billion was formed.

Aviation remains one of the key areas of cooperation. “Uzbekistan Airways” has ordered 22 “Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner” aircraft from “Boeing”. The construction of a new international airport in Tashkent is also planned, which is expected to expand opportunities for passenger and cargo transportation.

Article also emphasizes the significance of Uzbekistan's accession to the WTO for simplifying trade and customs procedures and reducing logistics costs.

Trade turnover between the two countries grew from $882 million in 2024 to more than 1 billion dollars in 2025. Around 340 American companies operate in Uzbekistan.

Cooperation within the C5+1 format, as noted in the article, contributes to the development of transport corridors and the strengthening of the transit potential of Central Asia. More than $12 billion are planned to be allocated for the development of Uzbekistan's transport infrastructure until 2030.
