DUISBURG, June 25. /Dunyo IA/. Representatives of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Frankfurt am Main participated in the 5th German-Eurasian SME Day held in Duisburg, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The forum was organized by the DEWB Association together with leading representatives of the German business community. The event served as an international expert and business platform, bringing together representatives of business circles from Germany, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, as well as industry associations, think tanks, government institutions and private-sector stakeholders.

Discussions focused on the transformation of economic ties across Eurasia, the development of new trade routes, investment cooperation and business adaptation to changing international conditions. Participants also examined the impact of global economic processes and sanctions-related restrictions on trade flows and industrial cooperation in the region.

Particular attention was given to Central Asia, which is increasingly viewed as a promising destination for expanding Germany’s economic engagement. Uzbekistan was repeatedly highlighted as a key regional partner due to its sustainable economic growth, ongoing reforms and active investment policy.

During the forum, Uzbek diplomats briefed participants on the large-scale socio-economic reforms being implemented in the country, aimed at economic liberalization, support for entrepreneurship and further improvement of the investment climate. Particular note was made of the participation of Uzbek companies in the forum and their growing interest in cooperation with German partners.

Within the framework of the event, several Uzbek companies presented investment and industrial projects, including solutions in polymer production and infrastructure supply.

The forum highlighted the growing interest of German businesses in Uzbekistan as a promising economic partner in Central Asia and a platform for the implementation of investment and industrial projects.
