TASHKENT, June 26. /Dunyo IA/.   Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov, held a telephone conversation with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran Seyed Abbas Araghchi, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

“Had a phone conversation with H.E. Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, - the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan wrote in his telegram-channel. - Received an update on the latest developments regarding the implementation of the understandings aimed at ending the recent conflict and exchanged views on the current regional situation.

Reaffirmed Uzbekistan's support for continued diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions in the region and underscored the importance of maintaining dialogue and implementing the understandings reached.

Also discussed further strengthening Uzbekistan - Iran bilateral relations and agreed to continue close consultations on issues of mutual interest”.
