KAZAN, June 10. /Dunyo IA/. The Russian news agency “Tatar-inform” has published an article dedicated to the development of Russian-Uzbek cooperation in the transport sector and its significance for the formation of new Eurasian logistical routes, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

It is noted that amid the transformation of the global economy and international supply chains, transport connectivity is becoming one of the key factors for sustainable development. By the end of 2025, the volume of cargo transportation between Uzbekistan and Russia reached 18.2 million tons, increasing by 13.6 percent compared to the previous year.

The article emphasizes the steady development of cooperation in the fields of rail, road, and air transport, as well as the implementation of joint industrial cooperation projects. Special attention is paid to the expansion of passenger services and the modernization of transport infrastructure.

Experts identify the creation of the “Belarus–Russia–Kazakhstan–Uzbekistan–Afghanistan–Pakistan” international multimodal corridor as one of the key areas of interaction. According to their assessment, this route has the potential to become a vital link in the Eurasian transport and logistics system, providing a direct connection between the countries of Central and South Asia, as well as the Belarus-Russia Union State.
