KYIV, April 26. /Dunyo IA/. The international news portal “Euronews” has highlighted a growing trend in re-evaluating the role of the Temurid era in history, reports Dunyo IA correspondent, citing with reference to the Ukrainian magazine “Kyiv Diplomatic”.

It is noted that an increasing emphasis is being placed not only on Amir Temur's military and political role but also on his contribution to the development of science, culture and the institutional foundations of society. The 14^th and 15^th centuries are increasingly viewed as a period of large-scale intellectual transformations, which a number of researchers refer to as the “Second Renaissance”.

The central platform for discussing these issues was the international conference “The Role and Significance of Amir Temur and the Temurid Civilization in World History and Culture”, held at the Center of Islamic Civilization in Tashkent. The event was dedicated to the 690^th anniversary of the birth of this historical figure.

During the event, special attention was paid to issues of public administration, diplomacy and the development of science, education, and culture during the Temurid era, as well as their influence on world civilization. It was noted that scientific institutions were formed, the educational system evolved and an intellectual environment was strengthened during this period, ensuring the continuity of knowledge.

Experts also note the necessity of re-evaluating historical interpretations based on primary sources. In their view, one-sided portrayals of Amir Temur as solely a conqueror require a more comprehensive and scientifically grounded analysis, including the study of Oriental sources and manuscript collections.
