ABU DHABI, August 10. /Dunyo IA/. “Etihad Airways” has launched regular flights on the Abu Dhabi – Tashkent route for the first time in its history, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Ceremony dedicated to the inauguration of the air service was attended by Khalid Al Ali, Senior Vice President of “Etihad Airways” and Umid Shodiev, Ambassador of Uzbekistan.

Launch of the direct flight will contribute to strengthening transport connectivity between the two capitals, as well as expanding business and tourist travel. Furthermore, thanks to the airline's international network, travel opportunities from Tashkent via Abu Dhabi to other countries are expanding.

Entry of “Etihad Airways” into the market of Uzbekistan demonstrates the growing interest of international airlines in the country. This, in turn, creates additional opportunities for the development of transport and logistics links, tourism and business cooperation.
