OKAYAMA, August 10. /Dunyo IA/. As part of an official trip to Okayama Prefecture, diplomats of Uzbekistan in Japan held talks with heads of a number of organizations operating in the fields of education and industry, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the meeting with the President of Okayama Shoka University, Akio Ijiri, issues of expanding cooperation in higher education, developing student and faculty exchanges, as well as the university's participation in a new educational project implemented in the city of Termez based on the Japanese experience in education were discussed.

During the talks with the leadership of the “Junsei Gakuen” educational corporation, the educational projects of the Kibi International University in Uzbekistan, prospects for cooperation in implementing joint programs, and personnel training were reviewed. The Japanese side emphasized its interest in developing long-term educational cooperation with our country.

During the meeting at “Hagihara Industries Inc.”, the possibilities of applying “BarChip” synthetic fibre, designed for concrete reinforcement, in major infrastructure projects of Uzbekistan were discussed. The company representatives reported that this product is currently undergoing testing in Uzbekistan and in case of positive results, it could be used in major infrastructure projects.

Furthermore, during the negotiations with the leadership of “MGH Co., Ltd.”, issues of cooperation in the fields of automobile and special equipment maintenance, cold chain logistics and transport infrastructure were reviewed. Japanese side expressed its readiness to organize production practice and internships for students of higher educational institutions of Uzbekistan.

Following the meetings, agreements were reached on the practical development of projects, the establishment of direct contacts between relevant organizations and the continuation of cooperation.
