According to the April FIFA rankings, Portugal is ranked 7^th, Colombia is 16^th, Democratic Republic of the Congo is 54^th and Uzbekistan is 59^th. Experts name the Portuguese national team as the favourite to win the group.

Special attention is paid to Cristiano Ronaldo, for whom this World Cup could be the last of his career. It is noted that he is the only footballer to have scored in every World Cup since 2006.

At the same time, the national team of Uzbekistan is viewed as an unpredictable participant. Analysts emphasize that the team has not been sufficiently studied by its opponents and is capable of delivering surprises. As a reminder, the group stage matches will take place from June 17 to June 27, 2026, in the USA and Mexico.
