Uzbek Ambassador and Japanese MP agree to stimulate joint projects in economy, education and humanitarian fields

TOKYO, April 2. /Dunyo IA/. Uzbekistan’s Ambassador Mukhsinhuja Abdurakhmonov held a meeting in Tokyo with Ito Tadahiko, a member of the House of Representatives of Japan and the Parliamentary Friendship League with Uzbekistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the conversation, it was noted that as a result of the reforms implemented in Uzbekistan in recent years, the country's international prestige is strengthening, and new opportunities are opening up for foreign investors. The Japanese side gave a positive assessment of these processes, emphasizing that it views Uzbekistan as a promising partner.

High praise was also given to the outcomes of the historic visit by the President of Uzbekistan to Japan in December 2025, the negotiations held during that visit, and the participation in the first “Central Asia + Japan” Dialogue summit. It was emphasized that these events contributed to the opening of new avenues for bilateral cooperation.

As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached on joint efforts to practically expand bilateral ties, specifically by stimulating projects in the fields of economy, education, and humanitarian interaction.
