HANGZHOU, March 29. / Dunyo IA/. A presentation of Uzbekistan’s investment potential was held in Hangzhou as part of the annual session of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade in Zhejiang Province, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The event was organized by the Hangzhou Municipal People’s Government, the Hangzhou International Chamber of Commerce, and the Committee for International Trade Promotion. It brought together over 500 representatives of major local and foreign companies, as well as consular representatives from the United Kingdom, New Zealand, Chile, Egypt, Indonesia, and Uzbekistan.

During the presentation, representatives of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Shanghai highlighted the country’s large-scale reforms, economic liberalization, the creation of a favourable investment climate, and the diversification of foreign economic relations. Special attention was given to strengthening the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and China, as well as to regional and sectoral joint projects contributing significantly to the economic development of both countries.

Participants were provided with detailed information on Uzbekistan’s infrastructure potential and incentives for foreign investors, including national and regional investment projects, tax and tariff benefits, export support measures, and access to the markets of Central Asia, the CIS, and the European Union.

Representatives of Chinese companies noted that Uzbekistan-China relations are developing rapidly and reaching a qualitatively new level. Joint projects in infrastructure, energy, mining, agriculture, and high technology attracted particular interest, demonstrating the success of the partnership between the two countries.
