BELGRADE, February 4. /Dunyo IA/.  Aybek Shakhavdinov, Ambassador of Uzbekistan held talks with Bratislav Gašić, Minister of Defence of Serbia, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The meeting took place within the framework of agreements reached during Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić’s visit to Uzbekistan in October 2025.

During the talks, both sides discussed the current state and future prospects of bilateral cooperation in defence and military-technical spheres. Particular attention was given to strengthening institutional dialogue and expanding practical collaboration between the relevant agencies of the two countries.

Following the discussions, both parties reaffirmed their mutual interest in deepening Uzbek - Serbian partnership and agreed to continue engagement through the respective ministries and agencies.

It was noted that this step will further consolidate bilateral ties and facilitate the implementation of previously reached agreements in the spirit of strategic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Serbia.
