Navruz celebrations unite Central Asian Nations in Hamburg

HAMBURG, March 30. /Dunyo IA/. Holiday of Navruz was widely celebrated in major cities across Germany, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
In particular, in the city of Hamburg, public organization “NAVRUZ-Forum e.V.”, in cooperation with the embassies of Central Asian states, held an event titled “C5+1: Cultural Dialogue in Hamburg”.
The event was attended by Hamburg officials, representatives of political and business circles, specialists in the fields of economics and tourism, as well as compatriots engaged in scientific activities and working in various sectors across Germany.
Among the ambassadors of the participating states who spoke, head of the diplomatic mission of Uzbekistan Dilshod Akhatov, congratulated the attendees on the holiday. He emphasized that Uzbekistan is not only a country with a rich historical heritage but also a state consistently progressing toward modern development through an open and friendly policy. It was noted that Navruz serves as a cultural and spiritual bridge between nations, contributing to the strengthening of the principles of peace, tolerance and openness in the region.
As part of the festive event, an Uzbekistan stand was organized, featuring an exhibition that reflected the rich cultural heritage of the Uzbek people. Guests had the opportunity to view samples of national handicrafts, ceramics, suzani, as well as atlas and adras fabrics.
Public organization “NAVRUZ-Forum e.V.” has been contributing to the development of cultural, scientific, and economic cooperation between Germany and countries where Navruz is celebrated for 15 years. About 2% of Germany's population has cultural ties to Navruz-celebrating countries. In Hamburg, over 250,000 people celebrate this spring holiday, making the city one of the largest centers for Navruz celebrations in Europe.
