CAIRO, September 9. /Dunyo IA/.   Diplomats of Uzbekistan met with the Head of the Desert Research Center under the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation of Egypt Hossam Shawky, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

As a reminder, a delegation of farmers and entrepreneurs from Uzbekistan is scheduled to visit Egypt on September 14–20^th. Within the framework of the visit, it is planned to study the country's experience in pasture management, development of livestock husbandry and the fodder base, desert land reclamation and the application of water-saving technologies.

During the meeting, it was noted that the Uzbek delegation will visit the Desert Research Center, where presentations and meetings with Egyptian specialists will be held on hydrogeology, livestock husbandry, fodder base development and new land reclamation.

Parties also considered visiting the “Mariout Research Station” and “Ras Sudr” Research Station. The head of the center expressed the readiness of Egyptian specialists to engage in joint scientific projects, exchange delegations and transfer expertise in desert land reclamation and modern irrigation technologies.
