ASHGABAT, July 30. /Dunyo IA/. A delegation of Uzbekistan, headed by Ulugbek Khakberdiev, Deputy Chairman of the “Uzpromstroymaterialy” Association, has visited Turkmenistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Within the framework of the visit, the Uzbek–Turkmen Business Forum was held, bringing together more than 20 Uzbek manufacturers of building materials and over 30 representatives of the business community of Turkmenistan. The parties discussed issues of increasing mutual trade, developing industrial cooperation, implementing joint investment projects and expanding product supplies.

Following the forum, B2B and B2G meetings were held, during which agreements were reached on concluding new trade contracts and developing direct cooperation between the enterprises of the two countries.

During the event, the Uzbek delegation also held talks with the Turkmen companies “Ak Gaya” and “Ak Bulut”. The sides discussed prospects for supplying paints and varnishes, drywall, metal profiles, furniture, and other building materials to the Turkmen market, as well as implementing industrial cooperation projects.

Furthermore, “Uzpromstroymaterialy” Association and the “Turkmenavtoban” Economic Society signed a memorandum of cooperation aimed at developing interaction in the production and supply of building materials, as well as implementing joint projects.

It is expected that the agreements reached will contribute to the further strengthening of trade and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, the expansion of export opportunities for domestic producers and the development of industrial cooperation.
