ТАSHKENT, March 4. /Dunyo IA/. Today, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with the King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the press service of the Head of our State, leaders discussed recent events in the Middle East affecting regional security and stability.

It was noted that during the holy month of Ramadan, the Muslim Ummah should remain united and support one another in the spirit of solidarity, brotherhood, mutual respect and generosity.

It was emphasized that any actions posing a serious threat to peace in the country and the well-being of its citizens, and causing suffering to innocent people, must be stopped immediately, and that all issues should be resolved exclusively through diplomacy and negotiations.

President of Uzbekistan expressed support and solidarity with the leadership and people of Bahrain.

In turn, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa conveyed deep gratitude to the President of Uzbekistan for the telephone call, the attention shown and the sincere support in these difficult times.
