Diplomats of Uzbekistan organize Ramadan Iftar for compatriots in Krasnodar

KRASNODAR, March 5. /Dunyo IA/. Diplomats from the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Rostov-on-Don organized an iftar gathering for Uzbek citizens temporarily working in Krasnodar, bringing compatriots together during the holy month of Ramadan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The event was held at a traditional Uzbek teahouse and attended by migrant workers and members of the Uzbek community residing in the region.
In his welcoming remarks, the Consul General of Uzbekistan in Rostov-on-Don, Burkhan Alikulov, congratulated participants on the arrival of the sacred month and spoke about the ongoing reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan. Particular emphasis was placed on the work of Uzbek diplomatic missions abroad in supporting citizens working outside the country and in protecting their lawful rights and interests.
Participants were also briefed on the activities of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Rostov-on-Don, including the range of consular services available to Uzbek nationals.
Special attention during the meeting was devoted to the wellbeing of compatriots residing in the region for various reasons, particularly young people. Diplomats underscored the importance of remaining vigilant against criminal networks and extremist religious groups.
During the gathering, Qur’an reciters read verses from the holy scripture and highlighted the importance of respecting the laws of the host country, demonstrating solidarity and mutual care during Ramadan, and refraining from harmful habits.
Concluding the event, participants expressed their gratitude to the staff of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Rostov-on-Don for their outreach and for the continued attention given by the state to its citizens abroad.
