Uzbekistan and Malaysia strengthen ties through law enforcement museum collaboration

• 109KUALA LUMPUR, March 6. /Dunyo IA/. Karomiddin Gadoev, Ambassador of Uzbekistan, visited the Royal Malaysia Police Museum, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the visit, he met with the museum’s director, Colonel Mohd Sabri bin Abdul Kadir, as well as representatives of the International Relations Department of the Royal Malaysia Police.
The discussions focused on potential cooperation between the Museum of the History of Internal Affairs Bodies of Uzbekistan and the Royal Malaysia Police Museum, including the exchange of experience in enhancing museum practices.
The Malaysian side was briefed on reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan’s internal affairs sector. Particular attention was given to improving the operations of the Museum of the History of Internal Affairs, modernizing its material and technical base, and enriching its exhibition collections.
The prospects for cooperation between the museums, including professional exchanges between staff of both countries, were also discussed.
The Royal Malaysia Police Museum was established in 1958 by Gerry Waller. Its initial exhibition displayed training materials from the police training centre, special and everyday uniforms of officers, and examples of firearms. In 1998, the museum moved to a new building in Kuala Lumpur.
