Uzbekistan expands trade and investment cooperation with China

CHANGSHA, April 16. /Dunyo IA/. Uzbekistan and China’s Hunan Province intend to intensify cooperation in industry, agriculture, and high technologies, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Relevant agreements were discussed during a meeting between Ambassador of Uzbekistan Farhod Arziev and the governor of Hunan province, Mao Weiming.
The sides reviewed prospects for implementing joint projects in mechanical engineering, pharmaceuticals, and the agricultural sector, as well as expanding cooperation in education.
Particular attention was paid to strengthening trade and economic ties and increasing mutual investment. Positive dynamics in business-to-business contacts and the implementation of a number of joint projects were noted.
The Chinese side expressed interest in further deepening partnership with the regions of Uzbekistan, including through joint events and the development of cultural and humanitarian exchanges.
Hunan Province, whose administrative center is Changsha, is one of China’s major industrial and agricultural regions, offering additional opportunities for expanding practical cooperation.
