Uzbekistan showcases its educational potential at International Higher Education Forum in Cairo

• 30CAIRO, July 29. /Dunyo IA/. Delegation of Uzbekistan took an active part in the 19th International Higher Education Exhibition and Forum “EDUGATE 2026”, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Event aimed to promote the national educational brand “Study in Uzbekistan” on the international stage, as well as to widely demonstrate the academic and scientific potential of our country.
On the very first day of the high-level forum, the Uzbek side showcased a large-scale presentation exposition. Furthermore, a joint Uzbek-Egyptian Educational Forum was held, which brought together representatives from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations of Uzbekistan and 10 higher education institutions of the country, alongside a corresponding number of participants from the Egyptian side. The forum served as an important platform for establishing promising academic contacts and developing mutually beneficial cooperation.
Central event of the first day of the exhibition and forum was a high-level panel discussion under the general theme “Take a Step into the Future”. It brought together representatives from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations of Uzbekistan and Embassy of Uzbekistan in Egypt, Mohamed Diaa Zein El-Abidin, President of Ain Shams University; Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Al-Galala University and former Minister of Health of Egypt Dr. Ashraf Hatem, President of Future University Dr. Ebada Sarhan, as well as Alexandria University professors Dr. Alaa Abouelfetouh and Dr. Amina El-Halawani.
During the panel discussion, representatives of the Embassy and the Ministry briefed the foreign participants on the state policy implemented in recent years aimed at profoundly reforming the higher education and science systems, as well as improving the quality of education in the country. Particular attention was paid to the favourable learning conditions created for international students, “Yangi O‘zbekiston Scholarship” international grant program, the capabilities of the “Study in Uzbekistan” unified electronic platform, and the prospects for expanding joint educational programs with foreign universities.
Parties also discussed practical mechanisms for the academic mobility of students and faculty members, the financing of joint scientific research, and the training of graduates in accordance with modern requirements of global and regional labour markets.
From the very first day of the exhibition, ten domestic higher education institutions launched active presentations of their educational programs and scientific potential at the national stand of Uzbekistan. The delegation included representatives from the University of Journalism and Mass Communications of Uzbekistan, Tashkent State Transport University, Tashkent State University of Economics, “TIIAME” National Research University, Pharmaceutical Technical University, Bukhara State Technical University, Samarkand State Pedagogical Institute, Fergana Medical Institute of Public Health, Termez State Pedagogical Institute and Ma'mun University.
Representatives of these universities are conducting direct consultations and presentations for Egyptian applicants, students, and members of the academic community, introducing them to admission requirements, educational programs, grant opportunities, and study conditions in Uzbekistan.
