Uzbek Students Achieve Success at International Competition in Shenzhen

• 75SHENZHEN, June 7. /Dunyo IA/. The final stage of the international “Huawei ICT Competition 2025–2026” was held in Shenzhen, China’s innovation hub, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The competition is designed to identify and support talent in the field of information and communication technologies (ICT).
The competition was conducted in a three-level format – national, regional, and global stages. It brought together more than 210,000 students from 2,000 colleges and universities across over 100 countries worldwide, including teams from the Tashkent University of Information Technologies, Inha and Turin Polytechnic Universities in Tashkent.
Across more than 10 competition tracks, teams presented functional solutions with social and commercial value, based on analysis of real-life challenges and the application of technologies such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, big data, and others.
At the final stage, which featured 179 teams from more than 40 countries including China, Türkiye, Switzerland, Chile, Pakistan, Egypt, Qatar, and Nigeria, representatives of Uzbekistan achieved the following results:
· The team from the Tashkent University of Information Technologies won 1st place in the “Practice Competition – Network Track”.
· A joint team of the universities from Tashkent won 3rd place in the “Practice Competition – Cloud Track”.
The “Huawei ICT Competition” is a major international event involving students and faculty from universities around the world. It provides participants with opportunities to strengthen their ICT knowledge, develop practical skills, and foster innovation using the latest technologies and platforms.
The competition is included in the list of national student competitions in China and is globally recognized as a flagship program supported by UNESCO through the Global Skills Academy.
